Transforming the lives of women and youth
To address the livelihoods challenges of marginalized people in rural areas and to bring positive change in their lives, manifold interventions at different levels – policy, programs, community and community institutions etc. is required. In this regard to reduce vulnerability of marginalized sections, KRWCDS has started livelihood improvement project.

Through this project women and youth are given skill based training i.e. basic management skills, soft skills and computer skills, personality development and counselings is also provided to these girls and youth so that they understand the importance of the programme for them.
With an aim to educating the youth and providing them training in other beneficial skills, this project has been launched. Through community mobilisation drives, surveys, door-to-door visits and other means, women and youths are identified and enrolled for the training. Special focus is given to the underprivileged girls of the community.

To improve the livelihoods and economic security of rural communities through in-kind support to restore and/or protect the farm production capacities and off-farm income generating activities and create positive impact on their disaster reliance

The livelihood development programmes approach, will aim at achieving societal emancipation for the targeted populations by working with the individuals to break out of the cycle of poverty, disenfranchisement, stigma, discrimination, denial and hopelessness.
