Nikita had lost her father when she was too small. Since then her mother had to shoulder for the 5 member family that too with too small children. She was finding it very hard to coup with the family. She was doing fishing coolie works and used to sell fish door to door. Her house was also in bad condition. It had to be repaired. Due to financial crisis Nikita’s sister Sunaina dropped school when she was in 9th standard to take care her siblings during her mother was out for work. When Anandi heard about the programs conducted by KRWCDS – ChildFund, she became a member of SHG and made her child Nikita enrolled under ChildFund programs in the year 1998 and was given case no. 27.
